A big thank you to the people who initially supported us and there is so much to update!
After the initial 45 days in Feb-March 2020, we had to pause the project, since COVID-19 hit and schools did not function in person till May 2022.
When we reopened in May 2022, we started the milk project again with an increased number of students, as many children had shifted from private schools to the government school.
We are happy to announce that the project has continued un-interrupted since May 2022, till today!
One extremely encouraging news has been that earlier this year, the local health officials who came for a health inspection had this to say to the Headmaster:
“Whatever you are giving the children as part of this milk programme, it is definitely magic. Children are all looking very well. Please continue to give it to them, and don’t stop it.”
This has given us a huge push forward and it is a validation of our work.
An Appeal: We are running out of funds now, and can sustain till January 2024 with whatever we raised in Feb 2020. Please donate to our project to contribute towards a healthy childhood. We dream of an anaemia-free childhood for ALL children in this country, and give them a better foundation for their adolescent years.
